2006 Commemorative Porcelain Christmas Ornament
On the one side is a colored engraving of the Capitol in the late 19th century taken from an image of the Washington Kiplinger Collection. The 2006 USCHS commemorative ornament honors the legacy of development, scientific ideas and progress. Pictured on the reverse side of this fine porcelain ornament is a painting by reknown Capitol artist Allyn Cox which is currently part of the Cox Corridor murals in the House of Representatives. Steam powered engines were a key technological innovation contributing to agricultural and industrial expansion of the United States. Beautifully gift boxed.
